Within the Benson Preamp, Benson utilizes FET transistors to recreate the authentic tube tone of their Chimera thirty-watt amplifier. Across the Preamp's streamlined, simplified EQ and drive-shaping controls, the pedal summons shimmery, chunky preamp tones that swing with plenty of touch sensitivity. Work the pedal's independent Drive and Volume controls to introduce thicker tube-like saturation or glassy, full-bodied boost by punching one control and inverting the other.
